There are no special entry requirements. The only requirement is a full NFAS membership
In addition to the usual Saturday and Sunday competition days, we are having a shoot on Friday. This will take place at Pendragon and is 20 lanes, 40 targets (2 per lane). It’s in a different part of the woods and will not be used in the main competition. This is a mini competition, and a winner will be determined using our handicap system, so any bow style can win. The winner will be announced and the prize awarded at the admin on Sunday morning. Anyone entering this Friday’s shoot can also register and get their cards for Saturday.
NOTE: Please indicate on the Champs entry form if you want to shoot on Friday. This checkbox is only so we can determine numbers for the Friday shoot. You can still turn up and shoot on the day, but we’d rather have an idea of numbers.
Pendragon will have the huge Rhinehart Moose target as one of the targets you will shoot on Saturday. To add a bit more spice to this shot, if you get a 24, you could win a ‘Let Loose on the Moose’ t-shirt. There will be three sets of pegs, based on bow style, so everyone has a chance to score well and win a t-shirt and other prizes.
We will be having a Bring & Buy area at the shoot. So if you have any gear you’d like to sell, please bring it along. We did this last minute in 2025, and it was a great success, so we wanted to give you more advance notice for the 2026 event.
In 2025, we held a team competition alongside the main individual competition, and we will be rerunning it this year. You don’t have to enter the team event, as you will be automatically entered if there are at least four archers from any club.
When you book, you will be sent exact location details, but if you are looking for camping or accommodation in the area, the town of Mold is about halfway between the two courses.
There are lots of camping sites, B&Bs and hotels in the area. If you are attending in a small motorhome or camper van, these can be parked overnight on Friday and Saturday at Pendragon, and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at Blaidd. Please note: there is no electric hookup, water or shower facilities. No open fires allowed at either site.
Staying onsite is free, and there is a checkbox on the booking form to indicate that you may want to stay onsite. We will confrim this with you in due course.
When you complete the booking, you will get a confirmation email that has the What3words locations for each course. Please make sure you check your junk/spam folder for this confirmation email.
As this event is 8 months off, we suspect that there may be a few cancellations before the event. If you fill in the form below, we will let you know as soon as places become available. Last year we managed to place 26 people off the reserve list.
This is the official T-shirt for 2026. The design is a retro, distressed version of the logo, 300mm wide. The shirt is 100% Ringspun Cotton. It is available in Ash Grey, White, or Natural with the design printed on the front.

It will be available to collect at the event on Saturday, 18th July 2026 at Pendragon. Any not collected will be taken to Blaidd on the 19th.
