The Welsh 3D Archery Championship is 2 days of 3D archery at two different courses. Redoubtables Archery and Blaidd Field Archers. The event in 2023 was a huge success and we are looking to build on that for 2024. We are limiting entry to 200 places, so book early.

First arrow Pro-Kill scores 28pts
Why we are making this addition to the NFAS scoring.
We believe this will benefit all archers, awarding 4 extra points for a first arrow Pro-Kill. Giving 28 for that scoring zone rewards extreme accuracy and will be particularly useful in the sighted classes.
Pretty much all 3D targets have this inner, Pro-Kill marked so we thought it was time we made use of it as is the case in other archery societies.
With this system, an errant lose arrow won’t ruin the score card as there are opportunities to recoup those lost points by hitting the Pro-Kill on other targets.
Pro-Kill. Hit this with your first arrow from your first peg and score 28 points not 24. Both the Pro-Kill and the normal inner kill count as a spot.

We have filled in this sheet with a sample score to show you how to mark up your score sheet during the shoot.
As you can see, it’s as per a normal score sheet with the addition of a new ‘spot’ column, giving you two to mark up.
When filling in the score sheet, just mark the 24’s with a dot as per normal in the left hand column and mark the 28’s with a circle, or a dot if you prefer in the right hand column.
Matching scores
How we will use the spots to decide
As you can see by the sample sheet, both types of spots are counted up and put in the total boxes at the top of the score sheet.
In the case of two archers in the medal positions getting the same score, the amount 28 spots are used as the first deciding factor and if they match then the 24 spots are used.
We will not count spots, only the total score, for anyone not in the medal positions to determine the final order of scores.
Pro Kills will be marked
We will use pink paint on all Pro Kills
To make sure everyone has the best chance of getting the elusive 28 points, we will mark each Pro Kill with pale pink paint, so they can be seen by all archers from the pegs.
The two courses
Redoubtables and Blaidd are about 24 miles apart.
When you book you will be sent exact location details, but if you are looking for camping or accommodation in the area, Denbigh is about 6 miles north east of Redoubtables. Blaidd is about 7 miles north west of Wrexham.
The town of Ruthin is almost exactly half way between the two courses.
There are lots of camping sites, B&Bs and hotels in the area. If you are attending in a small motorhome or camper van, these can be parked over night on the Friday and Saturday at Redoubtables and Saturday and Sunday night at Blaidd. Please note: there is no electric hook up, water or shower facilities. No Open fires allowed at either site.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If we have to cancel the shoot for any reason you will get a full refund. You can cancel your place and get a refund up to 14 days before the event. We set this at 14 days to allow time for other people to book in and organise travel and accommodation. If you cancel within the 14 day period and we can fill your space, we will refund your entrance fee.
